Pharmos Corp. (NASDAQ:PARS) is a biopharmaceutical company with research and development facilities located in Rehovot, Israel and executive offices located in New Jersey. The company has discovered, developed, and commercialized novel therapeutics treating a range of neurological and inflammation-based disorders - otherwise known as traumatic brain injuries (TBIs).

Putting an ironic twist on the cannabis plant’s stereotypical effects on the central nervous system, the company has turned the plant towards helping people think more clearly. Pharmos is developing its cannabis-related compounds in such a way to eliminate marijuana's common psychotropic effects, creating the potential to use them as a treatment for central nervous system disorders. The lead candidate is dexanabinol and their only real hope for success. Dexanabinol is in a pivotal trial for treating Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and in Phase II for preventing cognitive deterioration due to coronary bypass grafting surgery (CABG).
