Aphton (APHT) is
a company with a unique way of targeting hormones and peptides that
contribute to conditions such as cancer, ulcers, reflux disease, and
pregnancy. Aphton has three products in clinical trials, but financial
constraints have caused it to narrow its focus to G17DT, its lead drug
treating pancreatic and gastric cancers. |
 |
|
| Aphton is still developing
an effective investor relations effort. |

This means the company
is under-followed by Wall Street. Good results from a recent Phase III
trial barely moved the stock. With a market cap at publication of around
$160M, this might just be an undervalued bit of coal nearly ready to
become a diamond. |
