This month's Biotech Monthly
introduces Oncolytics Biotech (ONCY). This early-stage biotechnology
company seeks to use the common reovirus to treat cancer. While the
reovirus infects normal cells, only cells with a permissive internal
environment are destroyed by the virus. Few normal cells have such an
environment, but perhaps up to 90% of all cancer types do. |
